Wild about Art

In May 2026, we launched a community art competition, Wild about Art, to celebrate the everyday beauty, wildlife, and natural spaces in and around Enham Alamein. Whether it was the flutter of a butterfly, the pattern of a leaf, or the landscape they walked through every day, we wanted to see how local people would capture the wild magic of our local environment.

We received some wonderful entries across the age categories, which made the job of judging very difficult for Pip McGarry, local resident and renowned wildlife artist.  

The winner of each category was welcomed to receive their prize at prize giving during our Big Wildlife Count on 6 June. The winning entries will be incorporated into a permanent environmental display in the refurbished Enham Hub which opens later this summer.
