Wild about Art

We are excited to launch Wild about Art, a community art competition celebrating the everyday beauty, wildlife, and natural spaces in and around Enham. This is part of our Wild about Enham initiative, a project running throughout the summer to find out what wildlife makes its home here and how we can best support it.  

Whether it’s the flutter of a butterfly, the pattern of a leaf, or the landscape you walk through every day, we want to see how you capture the wild magic of our local environment.

Everyone is welcome to take part, with age categories for children and adults, and entries can include drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, or any other 2D artwork (Maximum size A4).

How to Enter

Entries should be no larger than A4 and you can submit them by:

• Posting your entry to Enham Trust, Enham Place, Enham Alamein SP11 6JS.

• Bring your finished artwork to the Enham Charity Shop during its opening hours.

Make sure your name, age/category, and contact* details (*parent/guardian if entrant is under 18) are clearly attached. The closing date for entries is Friday 22 May 2026.  

Age categories

• 6 and under

• 7-11

• 12-18

• Adults (18+)

Judging & Awards

All entries will be displayed in the Landale Wilson Hall for the duration of our Big Wildlife Count on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June 2026. The entries will be judged by renowned wildlife artist Pip McGarry, and the winners will be announced at 12 noon on Saturday.  

The winner of each category will receive prize, and their entry will be incorporated into a permanent environmental display in the refurbished Enham Resource Centre.

Join us in celebrating the natural world right on our doorstep. Pick up your pencils, paints, or pastels and show us why you are Wild about Art!

Personal information and contact details will be collected for the purposes of judging entries and contacting winners only. Art competition entries can be collected at Saturday’s event, unfortunately any items not collected cannot be returned.  

Once the competition winner is confirmed, we will retain all your personal data for 90 days, after which it will be securely deleted. If you would like your data to be removed sooner, please get in touch at wild-about@aster.co.uk
